Every post has a feedback section where registered Hub members can, depending on the type of post:

  • Ask a post’s Moderator questions about the post
  • Recommend edits and new content
  • Ask questions and make suggestions to politicians communicated by the post’s curator
  • Give endorsements for their favorite politician

Moderate a politician post

Project:

Curate new information on a US politician that has a post in US onAir.

Description:

Learn how to c curate information and news items. Information that might be curated:

  • Bio
  • Any updates to staff, contact information
  • Record (voting, elections, fundraising)
  • Committees
  • Positions on issues
  • Sponsored legislation
  • Events
  • Media coverage

Moderate a committee/issue post

Project:

Write about and compile information on an issue of interest to you that has been started by US onAir.

Description:

Learn how to create a post and curate information and news items regarding a chosen issue that will be addressed by the 2021 US Senate and US House. 

You can provide background on the issue, associated organizations and corporations, major perspectives, and current legislative efforts. You can cover a new aspect to the issue, such as public opinion, related events (e.g. hearings, town halls, etc), or details on a piece of legislation.

Reaching out to representatives interested in the issue is recommended.

Content should be unbiased, though common perspectives should be represented. Separate opinion/advocacy pieces will be available later.

Moderate an Aircast

You can coordinate and moderate aircasts with your US politicians representatives and their staff. You will also be able to interact with their constituents particularly on issues important to you or your community.

Project:

Organize aircasts between with your federal and state representatives and their constituents. Consider inviting community leaders, subject matter experts, and your representatives.

Description:

Aircasts are Zoom meetings with featured guests and audience participation that are livestreamed to the public. Aircasts are  recorded and archived in onAir Hubs and YouTube channels and shareable on social media and websites.

You will be supported  by onAir Producers. who will be responsible for all technical issues related to the aircast.  If appropriate, you can also interview the aircast’s featured guests as well as include slide presentations, invited panelists, and audience polls.

Types of Aircasts

You can curate aircasts with your VA representatives and their staffs and with their constituents particularly on issues important to you or your community.

You will curate aircasts that feature a host and panelists knowledgeable on a specific issue. Slide presentations and short videos can be part of an aircast to introduce an issue. Host and panelists will decide on who can participate in the aircast’s Zoom audience.

You may consider using slides or a short video to share information with attendees.Aircasts are also conducted with the support of aircast producers who manage all the technical aspects of the aircast.

Advocates of various issues important to US residents will have an opportunity to contribute position papers, reviews, videos, and other types of content related to an issue. As premium members, they will be able to:

  • author new posts on issues
  • co-author existing posts on issues
  • contribute to curated overview posts on issues

Advocates can sign up through an existing organization or individually. Until our beta testing is completed, advocate memberships are currently only available upon request without charge.
